Everything packs into the base of the table, including the support pole. The cheese knives are good quality and slot into cutouts in the base. They are held in place with magnets. The box stated that there is a carrying bag, but mine did not have one, and the box had seals on it so not sure how the bag got mislaid. It's made from bamboo which I like as it is sustainable. The edges are smooth and not likely to crack or splinter. This will be great to take on a picnic, outside with friends for a party or just having cocktail hour in the garden/beach/park. I'll be using it at our next block party and will be taking it camping for a glass around the fire pit.
