I had bought my mom a new mixer a couple years ago for Christmas without looking into the fact that they had plastic beater heads. They were HORRIBLE! They pulled the batter up towards the base and if it was thick enough it would literally suck it up into the motor if you weren't careful. So finally this past Thanksgiving I had enough and threw the old mixer away. I saw this one on sale and bought it for her since I saw that it had the completely metal beaters. It works SOOOOOO much better!
