I have owned these for over a year and now feel qualified to give this product 5 stars. I swim laps 5 days a week . Love the bone conduction technology. While they recommend using it with swim earplugs for best sound quality, I am not a fan of any kind of earplugs and don't use them and underwater sound is good. It clips to my googles, stays in place through flip turns, and is easy to pause/forward/reverse by touch while swimming. I keep it clipped to my goggles all the time and just rinse everything with clear water and dry when I get out of the pool (same with all my gear) and have had no problems with charging or mineral deposits. Love the drag and drop for adding music. (Not a fan of iTunes either.) Fits best on regular goggle straps.. I charge it once/week. Make sure the green light isn't blinking when you shut it down' green light mean it's on pause and will drain the battery. Well worth the price.

Two things to know that's not in the enclosed instructions: 1. You are to charge the battery 24 hours before your first use. 2. Before putting on the player, turn it on until you see the green light. Then wait 10 seconds for the music to turn on. Initially I would turn it on over and over and over as I never heard anything. I finally called Finis, and was told there was a lag time of 10 seconds before the music would play. I suggested this be included in their directions. Now that I know how to operate this player, it's fantastic.

Ive tried numerous types of waterproof headphones and either the sound quality was awful, the volume was too low or earphones would constantly pop out of my ears when swimming. I was about to give up however the owner of our local swim shop highly recommended . So far I am pleasantly surprised. The "headphones" fit on your goggle strap and are placed over your temple bones so you never have to worry about any ear buds popping out while you swim. The sound quality isn't Bose noise canceling quality but for underwater listening it is far superior to anything else I've tried. The volume is excellent under water and I can also get pretty decent volume when my heads out of water resting between sets. All the controls are simple and easy to manage. I am fairly computer illiterate but converting unprotected songs to MP3 format. I have ~40 songs on it and still have a lot of memory left. I do wash them with clean water after each swim and dry them off immediately. I also clean the small charging plates on the phones as instructed about once a week.

Only complaint is you can't rewind of fast forward thru a song because the skip to next or previous song buttons double as the volume buttons. Probably not an issue for anyone other than fellow synchro/artistic swimmers like myself.

I read a few of the previous reviews discussing the importance to use a paperclip to keep the phones properly positioned in the charger unit, however, mine came with embedded magnets that really sealed the connection tight and no need for additional pressure. Perhaps this was an upgrade that took care of this problem, not sure. See the little silver magnet disk on the charger in the picture I posted. That is attracted to something inside the earphone unit and keeps the metal prongs and four metal earphone charging contacts nice and tight.
