I don't think they're doing the same thing they used to, and the bottle seems durable enough. Keep in mind that you're buying a water bottle, so don't expect to use this as an actual toy...it's a bottle for liquids that aren't hot. Just use it as such and have fun with it being gimmicky and ridiculous.
