What a relief. It has a funny smell but I’ve been spraying it with lavender and chamomille spray and the aroma is slowly disappearing. I understand some reviewers did not like the pillow. After using this pillow for a couple of weeks, my chronic stiff neck and headaches have gone away. It took me a week or so to get used to the pillow but the results are exactly what I was hoping for. I have tried many, many pillows. I use it for sleeping on either side and also on my back. I could do without the ear hole thingy as my ear rarely lands in the right spot but it is not so hard to ignore it either.

PROS: When sleeping your side, it keeps your neck & back straight by supporting your head high enough without lifting your shoulders. I also like it for neck support when lying on my back. CONS: It requires a custom J-shaped pillow case. It does comes with one, though. NEUTRAL: I haven't used the little depression for your ear. It seems like it would be hard to keep it aligned. It hasn't mattered though, because it has enough "give" that my ear isn't uncomfortably smushed.
