    This is a game changer for pulling weeds. My first day I did more weeding in an hour than I've done before in 6 hours. At first I had a low success rate (maybe 25%) but with some experience I've gotten it up to near 90% good pulls. Two important tricks are (A) make sure it is centered perfectly so you are getting the root, and (B) after embedding, spin the tool to "cut" a plug that you can pull out.

    I must say I am impressed with how easy this is to use and how good it is at getting the whole root. I did find that it works perfectly on one weed. When you get a cluster of weed in one group, it takes finesse to target the center to insure you pull out the root. You would have the same issue with whatever device you use. The item is made extremely sturdy and should last a long time. Well worth the money!

So far, I find this stand-up weeder to be very helpful and working most efficiently on weeds with tap roots, like dandelions or filaree. I drag along a bag or small trash can and pop the handle to drop the offending weed and its root into the bag/can for disposal so it doesn't just go to seed and thwart me anyway. Unless you are tall, I am not, this works wonderfully and saves getting down on the ground and digging in the dirt to rip up dandelions root and all.

    I like the weeder. I've been pulling weeds since I was a small child pulling the chickweed that would grow under my parent's greenhouse benches. It's always been the "get on your knees" kind of work. However, I just had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder and found it difficult to get down on my hands and knees, as I was short one hand. This weeder allows me to pull the weeds while standing. It took me a couple minutes or so to get hang of it, but once I did, I found it worked great.
