This is my 2nd purchase of this product. The first I had for 3 years before it broke. I personally like how easily you can weed with this. It gets all the way down to the roots. I use primarily for dandelions. The only negative is that you can get a bit of dirt with this so it leaves little holes in your yard. I don’t have a manicured lawn so I don’t mind. The holes do get filled in within a week or two.

I loved using this tool, it was addictive actually. Not the sturdiest, but it was well worth the price. Before use, make sure your lawn passes the screwdriver test. If you cannot easily insert it into the ground where the tool will be used, then you should first water the area and let it soften. Extraction should not require a lot of force. My lawn was infested with weed because it was a foreclosure that was unkept for many years. A 350k house was bought for 98k, so you can imagine the weed situation was very bad. I filled a ~35gal trash can and more to go. Don't go crazy trying to get the little itty bitty ones, that you can kill with weed and feed. I did this in preparation for dethatching, top dresssing and weed/feeding. Good luck!

That being said, the Worth Garden Stand-up Weeder and Root Removal Tool is very well made and designed. Using nails rather than blades makes it easier to puncture the ground. It would probably be out of its comfort zone with foot tall weeds in hard, clay soil. For every day lawns, gardens, and weeds, however, it's right at home. Well designed, quality built and easy to use. I'd buy it again.
