I hate prep work. This makes it so much easier and faster and consistent too. I just cut the item into slightly smaller portions, plop it onto the blades, and chop chop chop. It's done! No more crying over onions. It works well with garnishes and other herbs as well. I can quickly chop up some parsley by just plopping it onto the fine dice pattern. Some reviews complain how you can do only small portions at a time but hey still bears dicing it all. I usually place it on there and give it a few good slam with my fist and it's all good. Blades are very sharp too, so careful there. Already cut myself a few times grabbing it from the wrong side. Would recommend.

It's great for so many other things too. I've already tried out celery, mushrooms, apples, carrots, cilantro, mint, kale and cucumbers. Perfection.
The strainer insert is also an awesome, useful bonus which I use in so many different ways.

Everything stores inside the container, except the knob to use with the mandolin.
