I sprayed my car. The company says you can spray it directly on the rust. I will not. I used a grinder to remove as much rust as possible. Then I applied the rust converter (Phosphoric Acid) and let it dry overnight. That further removes more rust in the metal. Then I wipe with rubbing alcohol. Then spray 2 coats of this product. If you can remove as much rust as possible then why leave it there. Take a little more time and do it right. If it sounds too easy, like spraying it on a rust spot, it probably is

I use the tool to prep the area before degreasing it with a chlorine-free brake cleaner. Then I use Rust Improver as a primer and let it dry for 24 hours before painting.
