And it is exactly like hers was! It's metal and very sturdy. The size is what's normal for pelmeni so I understand why it would be too small for typical ravioli but it's not made for that. It's specific for "Russian ravioli" which are basically more like mini dumplings. Anyways, I'm so excited to make pelmeni!!

Several tips for using it that are not included—-dust the pelmenitsa with flour before putting on the first layer of dough and after filling it with meat, spray/mist some water over the top before putting on the second layer, to help it stick together.
