Nothing works better than super hot water with a strong cleaner- period! The beauty of O-Cedar is that it keeps it from putting too much cleaner on the floor. I love this thing. I clean houses so I use it on all types of surfaces. I felt like I was yelling at my boyfriend when I used my other mop saying stuff like “why can’t you just stay up” and “you are always disappointing me”. I decided to try this one out and I’m pretty darn satisfied now, I wish I could figure out how to be this satisfied with my boyfriend. I still use my old mop for the nastier houses I clean cause I don’t want to mess up my new one so fast. I can scrub stuck on stuff up with this but it’s not as easy to do as it was with my old one. I do wish the mop handle was an inch or two longer (cough insert snarky boyfriend comment here too cough). I think I’ll look into seeing if they have deeper cleaning heads for this mop for me to use in some houses. Sometimes tougher and rougher are better in many situations.

I purchased this O-Cedar Mop and Bucket based upon the great reviews. I am here to add a 5 star review of my own. This mop & bucket not only cleaned my floors, but it made the entire process easy (and dare I say fun?) I did the entire first floor of my house both tile and wood. Then wanted more fun, so i scooped up the handy handle and carried it upstairs where I continued on to the bedrooms and bathrooms. I don't want to go on and on, but this mop picked up lots of dirt and grime, then popped easily into the washing machine. It came out great. The swirly thing makes all the difference. It wrings out all of the excess water so its easy to mop without using too much muscle which i do not have. And the mop heads are short, rather than long mop heads which only make for heavier mops. If you're on the fence, go for it, you'll agree.

I just pop it in the washer with my other towels and it washes up really good. Others have said first time you use this mop it sheds but I didnt noticed it did that. I have laminate flooring and ceramic tile. FINALLY I found a mop that works on both! When using it on the laminate I can spin it until it's almost dry but still wet enough to clean the floor but not damage it. When using it on the tile I only spin it a couple of times to really soak the floor to help lift the dirt from the grout and then go over the floor with it spun out almost dry. I don't get any streaks at all on the tile or laminate! I do use Odoban neutral PH to clean with and love that stuff too. (I also purchased that on Amazon) The mop also comes with 2 extra mop heads but I haven't had to change mine yet. If you're looking for a mop that can clean ALL your flooring and not have to wring it with your hands... look no further... you just found it ;)

This thing is awesome. As a mom of 4 littles on a farm, I struggle to clean enough, always to find myself a few steps behind at best. This mop makes keeping the floors clean a LOT easier. Easy to use, kids had fun helping, and easy to change out the mop head. The nerd in me loves the ingenuity of the drying mechanism. I also love anything that I can wash and reuse - it’s cheaper and it’s less wasteful. These mop heads are popped off easily, thrown in the washing machine, and I line dry them to avoid hearing the clacking in my dryer (or to avoid harming the dryer). However, they stay on well and don’t pop off. You WILL need two hands for using this mop. The mop head is so light that it flips over backward when pulling the mop back unless you apply pressure further down. I’m not sure if it matters to anyone out there, but one handed mopping is a no-go. Also, if you have physical/back trouble leaning forward, this mop will be difficult.

The short height allows you to go underneath furniture and appliances with ease. The bucket is just the right size to hold plenty of soap water for a large kitchen area. The bucket sits firmly on the floor. You'd have to intentionally push this bucket over to spill the water. The strings on the mop clean very well in the grout of my tile floors. The ability to remove the string mop and throw it into the washing machine when done ensures that I always have a clean and sanitary mop for my floors. Highly recommend!!

Usually I have to get down on my hands and knees to wipe up the extra water so there are no streaks - but not anymore!!
