    So years ago I had one of these 3 barrel wavers and used it on my much shorter hair. I made the mistake of using it on every last bit of my hair and ended up with what looked like lasagna noodles for her and figured that the idea of this product was just bad and got rid of it. After learning some things and figuring out that I shouldn't try to stick more volume at the roots of my already thick hair, I decided to try it again. I separated my hair into two low ponytails and just curled those, I don't do the crown of my hair, just the length. I did a quick try out and this took me maybe ten minutes and it worked much better this time around. Next time I'll do some smaller sections and hit it with hairspray. My hair is thick and coarse and it's an ordeal trying to get it to hold a curl. Overall I'm pleased

I didn't need to loosen up the waves on my long thick hair. Also, I did not burn my fingers and I typically do with my springless curling iron.
