I used this on a flat surface. I followed the directions to a T making sure the surface was clean and wiped with alcohol. I think wiping with alcohol made a huge difference. Installed at the kitchen sink, I did not use the area for about well over 24 hours. There was an electrical outlet that I had to make a cut out for on the strip and the area gets splashed quit a bit. I have a very tiny kitchen with a shallow sink. Anyway, its been a couple of months and the results are perfect. I'm very glad I did this instead of caulking. I think this looks a whole lot better. If I see any signs of peeling, I'll update my review. I'll be happy to answer any questions as well. I go through my reviews quite often.

Its pretty hard to get caulk perfect so I bought these when I put in new floors in 2 bathrooms. The adhesive was almost like a sticky putty. I was careful to clean the surface and let it dry, apply it straight the first time so I wasn't pulling it back up and I used a rubber tool to push it down as I applied it so it was well adhered You can push with your hands but if you use a tool that won't mar the plastic you can put a lot more pressure on it. Also make sure the adhesive is warm or at least room temp. (its stickier when its not cold)So far my adhered very will. If it starts coming off I plan to use some liquid nails to re-glue it but its on there pretty good so I'm hoping thats not necessary. The people who said its junk either got some bad adhesive, tried to apply it when the adhesive was cold, applied it to a dirty surface or did something else wrong.I'd definitely buy this again even if I had to put more adhesive on it. I could never get caulk to look perfect

I've used this product in the past when my kids were little and our rental's old bathroom had unsightly mold and mildew stains on the tub caulking. Now my baby is grown and has her own rental with similar issues. I was glad to find this product for her. This product is easy to apply and comes with very good instructions. From past experience, I know that it provides a tight seal and lasts a long time. As the instructions suggest, I used a thin bead of white caulk from a tube to seal the corners where the product overlaps, and on the ends of the strip, for a totally watertight seal.

Reading other reviews I was reluctant to purchase. I have used other brands in the past with no problems. Prepared area, installed without any complications. I did however fold and crease before application. Product is not that flexible to fit tightly against curves of tub surround seams, so a small bead of tub caulk from a tube was also needed to seal gaps.It does present a better looking fit than that of a 1/2 inch line of regular tub caulk.(old home and tub with surround that was not exactly fitted perfectly)

I followed the direction to use alcohol on the corner edges of my stall shower, then applied it about six inches at a time. It goes on super easy, makes a very tight seal throughout, and looks 'Professional'. I loved using this tape, so much easier than caulking with a caulking gun. You need to clean all existing caulking and grime before you apply and make sure it is dry. Another thing i would suggest is that you do it and make sure no one takes a shower and let it set for at least 8-12 hours to insure it will keep. Just make sure you measure correctly andyou are good to go. It has been almost a month now and the adhesive is still sticking and no movement or slippage.
