My husband bought me a professional hot tools curling iron for Christmas and this thing out does it in every way. It gets hotter and it's faster. I can't get a curl out of my hot tools. This one is making great curls. It is a little difficult to try to get the handling down. Tbh I just hold my hair out and rotate it until it gets a grip. Kind of like the Dyson air thing people are using. This way does create some messy curls because it can end up grabbing extra hair but it is still great.

    I've never been good at curling my hair and my hair doesn't really like curls. I've tried curling irons, curling wands, hot rollers, sponge rollers, you name it…. And have never achieved a look that I actually liked. Until now. This thing is the solution. It makes curling my hair so easy. If you miss a section, it's fine. Even if the curler picks up the hair around it that's already curled, it's fine. A quick shake out once the curls have cooled is all you need. I usually spray my curls with hairspray and they stay all day. Of course they get looser as the day goes on but the curls stay. The unit beeps when it's time to move to another section. Sometimes I get a little carried away with mine and somehow reset the timer but once you do a few strands you get a feel for how long to leave it. I don't feel as though it's damaging to my hair. It wraps and releases very gently and I've never had an issue with tangling in the barrel.

    As a retired, licensed and professional cosmetologist.... I'm usually very negative toward most of the "at home" curlers and tools. My hair is long (past the small of my back), bleached, and obviously not the healthiest.. I decided to give this a go, as my hands and arms have started to not tolerate curling and styling like they used to. I did not test it on wet hair, because that's a no no. But, with professional product and fully dried hair, THIS THING CURLS! It gives wand level tight curls, on hard to curl hair, with minimal effort. There's a small learning curve for not getting everything tangled, but once you're past that, it's a breeze! It didn't take any longer than usual to curl my whole head which is THICK. It didn't speed up the process, but it certainly took the drag and aches out of it! There is no heat adjustment minus the low and high setting, but my hair feels food and looks shiny. Obviously continued use will cause heat damage, but for the occasional styling, this is perfect.
