I bought this product because of its multi-purpose variety of barrels. Based on using it I would suggest to push down on the cylinder and rotate clockwise to lock. You will know that it is Not in the lock position because the heater will not turn on. Once it turns on, It will display 360ﾟand warming up from 60 degree; at that point you should adjust it to the desired temperature.The lowest setting is 180. To switch from one barrel to another once hot, I would suggest for you to let it cool down for some seconds and Then rotate counter clockwise to unlock the cylinder which at that point you will need to pull the cylinder out. It is essential at this point to have to use the glove so you won't burn yourself while pulling out the hot cylinder. The straightening brush does indeed straighten your hair you just need to lightly pull on your hair to brush down on it with the straightener to get it nice and smooth.The glove does an excellent job on keeping your hand from burning.

Keep in mind that it uses Celsius so that is a small adjustment. The barrels get and stay hot! Which makes the effective glove that much more crucial.
