it easiest to use the light pad on my lap, and it's perfect for this. I can sit with my legs up on a stool and be perfectly comfortable while using the light pad, since it weighs so little. The pad's been used for tracing on to both A4 and A3 300gsm watercolour paper, with great visibility even at settings lower than the highest. At the highest setting, I'd guess that 450gsm paper would also be manageable although I'm not too sure about 600gsm.

I absolutely love using this light pad for my diamond painting. A 30x40cm painting fits perfectly on top with a little extra space on each end. I keep mine plugged into a multiple plug strip that has a heavy duty cord and don’t unplug the light pad, I just shut off the strip when not in use. This way it doesn’t get worn out like it would if I unplugged the light pad all the time.
