As a stand alone the monocular is excellent and has great power and optics for its size. Micro adjustment for focus. The unit has an attached front lens cover for protection and loss prevention but the eyepiece does not and I managed to loose that somewhere. Overall VERY pleased with the item, highly recommended and I would purchase again.

He was surprised he hasn't got to use it too much yet but from what he has used he says that it works pretty well I've used it myself and I have a hard time keeping when I shut so I've noticed that I have to use it in my right eye and hold my eye all the way up to it and it does matter how you hold it to you because you don't hold it right then your view will actually not be right but it is a great little gadget and my husband was happy so I think you will be happy too and I got it for a really good deal so that was even better plus insurance

Setting was a little different than what I watched in a video but simple enough to figure out. I doubt I will ever need to shoot much over 100 yards but I am sure with a little practice, I could. The more you zoom, the less clear the picture but no further than i plan to shoot, that shouldn't be an issue. Love being able to use day and night! Good chance it will be set to shoot from 2 or 3 different rifles depending on range and need. I believe you can set it for up to 5. Very pleased thus far!
