I think what iit does is really amazing. Lastly, the meat, or what ever you cook tastes like it came from outside along with the grilling streaks. As for the smoke, there is a very, very little bit. But we expected that!

Lastly, this outstanding grill may take a little bit of experimentation depending how you like things cooked. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

It does not smoke because the fat and grease drop below the infra-red heat source into the tray. very easy to clean, two pieces into the dishwasher. Leaves grille marks on the steaks, burgers, cooks perfectly for ribs, chicken, chops, shrimp, and veggies. Meats always remain juicy. Does fish filets as well. Highly recommend this grille. I spray the bottom pan and grilling grate with PAM before turning on, which makes clean-up easier when you're ready to clean the grill and put away. Wait about 5 minutes after start-up to place items on to cook and that's it. Any of you that have cooked on a grill know the right color of certain foods to understand when they're done. Just do what you typically do when cooking on the outdoor grill and you're golden.

I love this thing. It heats up very quickly. Hot dogs, burgers, kabobs...all good. I haven't tried a rack of baby backs on it, but I think it would require more space in order to do so unless I split the rack in half or grill a smaller rack. Although it is smokeless (or mostly) it did set off the smoke detector which is right outside of the kitchen, although I really didn't notice any real smoke, so I disconnected the smoke detector. I clean it up after each use and it cleans up nicely. I put foil over the bottom drip tray since that becomes more difficult to clean up the baked-on BBQ sauces. The grille cleans up very nicely with a soapy sponge.

Easy to clean, never any smoke and never splatters...even when grilling bacon. I don’t believe I will ever use my outside grill again. This is just too easy and everything tastes as good. I am now adding to my comments. I have now had this grill for 10 months and use it every week at least twice. It very suddenly stopped working with no previous problems. I contacted Simple Living and after sending them a video of my problem, they are sending me a replacement grill. There was no hassle in dealing with them and fortunately I did not have to return my grill which would have been a problem for me. They are a fantastic company to do business with. I use it near daily. And I shall continue to.

Clean up is easy. Normally I toss the grill top and collection tray in my dishwasher. But I have also sink washed them with no issue.
