Nothing fancy a piece of plastic but it absolutely works in helping you hang photos evenly and precisely every time. Look at how the holes are aligned-I manage to hang up a 4 x 5 painting thanks to this. The kit with nails and stuff that comes with it is just a bonus.

Then, remove the picture while keeping the handle on the wall and press the marker tab. With the nail hole marked, the rest is easy. This makes it so easy line up pictures just right and get the nail in the right spot the first time. The included assortment of picture hanging hardware has a nice assortment of hanging options too.

I don't show the plastic device to be used for placing pictures just where you want them, but that is probably the best thing about this kit. I don't know how many times I have hung picture groupings and had to struggle to get them aligned just the way I want them. This is a simple device that lets you place the picture or mirror exactly where you want it, mark the wall and then remove the picture so you can put the nail where you have marked. When you rehang the picture, Voila! it is just where you want it. This is definitely one of those "Why didn't I think of this?" items.
