I have mobility challenges, so this is a very functional tool and ease of maintenance for my fish health, however, I would love one designed for the tanks smaller then 20G, but not give up the power and performance of this current product. I did not see direction of the flexible hose usage but its a thought for the smaller tank adaptability if this is possible, I would purchase again. thanks for making this task easier for me AND MY AQUATIC PETS.

Over 1 month using this tool for my fish tank, it is way better than my siphon vacuum cleaner. Very powerful suction, I would say too powerful if you don't adjust the flow control dial. The first time I use it to suck some poop out, before I know it, half of tank is gone. Now I mostly use the mesh filter, let the cleaned water return, super easy and painless, and my 2 gold fish are happy. The filter itself is easy to wash and clean. My only con is the pump has to be all soaked in the water to work, so for my turtles who enjoy low water level, this does not work at all. But just for my fish, this deserves 5 stars, I would never go back to my siphon cleaner.

And for the price this thing is quite worth having for water changes. I prefer using it to pump out old aquarium water simply and easily and then pumping back in the new water from the bucket…it’s quite a clean and simple process compared to syphoning and dumping water…I love it.

I really like it. I have used this for almost one year, about 6 times to clean my sump. It does an excellent job of vacuuming the detritus from the bottom, in which it must pump the water up and over to a 32g collecting can. I have changed the hoses, now using an old fluval 404 hose. The handle makes it easy and it fits perfectly into my sponge/pre-return narrow chamber of the sump. Hair algae will quickly stop the impeller so I make sure none is present in the refugium.

It is just right. I only use the small tool that keeps me closest to the bottom. When it gets to 2" it will siphon whether on or off but it is very tricky to keep this going but if successful will get it down to 1". The trick is to keep it in one place once it starts siphoning and not move it or breathe!
