I used a single stone to sharpen two mowers blades with good success. This was the initial sharpen so I had to work it good to get the blades to the new profile of the stone. I had heard these stones don’t last, mine did the job without excessive wear to the stone. My drill loosened up and I even dropped the stone a few times on pavement without the stone breaking. I used a spray bottle to keep the stone wet, maybe this helped. I used a corded drill for more RPMs, it might be a bit slow with a cordless drill. Overall very pleased. The lawnmower blades are very sharp.

Worked great for my mower. My blade has a curve on each side so I just used the edge of the stone for that area and ran the other through the center and it was nice and sharp. I also tried it on an old really dull kitchen knife and this was able to get it fairly sharp quickly and I finished it with a sharpener for knifes.
