It's just too small for the kiwis that I buy.I use a regular knife and cut the kiwis in half. Then, I use this device to finish it off. It removes all of the kiwi from the peel. There is never any wasted kiwi!It is a bit tough to use on a not-so-ripe kiwi, but it even works on slightly tough kiwis. I just love how much time I save, and that it cuts the halves into 4 pieces.
