How to use

1. Pull open the telescope, put the telescope cylinder on the yoke, and lock the mirror with the fixing screw.
2. Insert the mirror into the focusing cylinder and fix it with the corresponding screw.
3. Attach the eyepiece to the reflector and secure it with the appropriate screw.
4. If you wish to zoom in with a 1.5X forward lens, place it between the eyepiece and the barrel so that you can view the objects.

We are amateurs and were so awed by our first look at the moon. The pictures I attached can be taken from the phone accessory, which is easy to use. Of course, the views directly in the telescope are even better, as you can really explore around the surface of the moon. We also got a pretty good view of Jupiter. We bought this for our 22-year-old son who is graduating college and became interested in astronomy when he took a course, so while he knows a little bit, he's not that sure of himself yet, and after reading reviews we thought this would be the perfect starter telescope for him. It was very easy to assemble out of the box and he had it up on the tripod and ready to see some "rings of Saturn" (his words) in about 10 minutes. However, he knew it was cloudy where we lived and there would be no rings that night, anyway. That was not a deterrent to him finding out what the lens could focus on, and so he took it on our front porch and focused it as far away as he could across the street from our house, which turned out to be a bird perching on the lights for the high school football stadium, which is a QUARTER MILE from our house! I thought that alone was pretty impressive (see photo). He has since returned to college and been out to look at stars, is overcome with amazement and what he can see, and I'm waiting for him to upload some pictures to us any time. It IS easy to mount an iPhone to this telescope, and according to him, that is one of the primary reasons he loves this scope. Keep in mind it's his first, though. I do believe this is a quality telescope, though, having looked through it myself and seen reviews and done the research, and I know he'll use it carefully and enjoy it for many years.
