You just have to really pay attention to how you're twisting the iron in your hair. I have long hair so I had to twist and pull a few times for each section.

I would say it does what it says it does, but it's extremely noisy (again due to the cool air) and I don't think it helps my curls stay longer than they do. my expensive thyme straightener or curler.
