    I ordered one of these when I needed to haul approx. 40 4x8 sheets of 1/2" & 5/8" drywall into the house. It worked great for single sheets of 5/8" rock, and for double sheets of 1/2" ultralight rock. Since the sheets are taped together face to face, just needed to insert a cardboard shim between the tapered edges before gripping the panels, to avoid crushing the edges.

    This falls into the category of "why didn't I think of this!". This is by far the easiest way for one person to handle an entire sheet of plywood. I'm not as young as I used to be and this has made moving full sheets of 3/4" plywood around the shop much easier. But be careful, it is not intended to lift a finished panels. It can defect the finished surface by transfering rubber grip pattern to the finished surface. Use only for material handling only.     This is from a 75 year old DIY'er. I must admit I am in pretty good shape for my age but know my limitations. Not risking serious back,shoulder and leg damage is just that. This thing is just amazing. .Just make sure you center the Gripper on the long side and maintain upward lift on the handle. Caution: this is not for everybody. You still have to carry the panel from point A to point B using arm/shoulder strength. If in doubt get help.

    I am using 3/4 maple prefinished plywood panels that have two veneers of MDF (one layer under each side) to make the plywood flatter and exactly 3/4 inch; the MDF makes this plywood very heavy compared to normal plywood. This gripper is able to grip the prefinished panel and it is easier to hold the panel in position. I am sorry I did not buy this years ago as it works well for me. I have used it on regular plywood and it works well also.

    This is the perfect solution for anyone of average stature who needs to move 4x8 sheets of drywall, plywood, MDF, etc. From one place to another without assistance. Your back will thank you and you'll get the job done more quickly and with less (much less IMHO) effort and frustration. Just used mine to offload 22 sheets of 1/2" drywall, move them inside and stack them in the middle of my work area and Gorilla Gripper made the job almost a snap.

If you ever have the need to work alone and carry full sheets of plywood or siding, when a helping hand is unavailable, you can get it done with this. The weight of the item does not go away, but it sure makes it easy to balance and carry the load with one hand, or two.     Wish I had this when I was younger framing houses. Really makes moving sheet goods much easier. Of course you still need the strength to lift sheets, but the Gorilla Gripper makes it less awkward. Really noticeable when wind is blowing and moving up ladder. Seems very well built and should last years. This can be used for plywood, cement board, and drywall. Basically anything big and awkward to lift that's less than 1 1/2in. It's a bit pricey, but I recommend it for any tradesman who will use it often to justify cost. As you know the job is a lot easier with the right tool and this is it for moving sheet goods.
