    I considered buying this for a long time before I finally did it but I'm so happy that I did. It really turns bananas (and other fruit) into the perfect ice cream consistency. Just make sure you follow the instructions and let the fruit thaw for a few minutes before running it through the machine. You do need to take the machine apart to get a lot of the ice cream out and into the bowl, but it comes apart easily and you have to take it apart to wash it anyway so it really isn't a problem. Run the parts under some hot water and cleaning takes just seconds. Love it.

We've mixed bananas with the Sambazon frozen Acai packets, and I truly feel as though I'll never need to buy ice cream again. My 8-year-old is having fun coming up with flavor ideas (no, we can't use celery buddy), and he's enjoyed dropping the bananas into the chute as well. The recipes with bananas give a creamy ice cream consistency that really does satisfy an ice cream craving. Recipes without bananas give a cold fruity refreshing sorbet summer treat. The only thing I recommend is doubling the recipes so you have enough frozen fruit to keep pushing through. It will stop if you don’t, but if it does just add more fruit to get it going again. The only negative is any leftovers do not freeze well. It will lose its creaminess.

    I am so glad I got this soft serve ice cream machine. I was worried that it was not going to work, especially since I got it for under $50 and a lot of quality ice cream machines are over $150 and they do not always produce soft serve. But THIS WORKS AMAZINGLY! I have come up with several of my own recipes. You can go healthy with just fruit, or you can mix and freeze the ingredients for ice cream in an ice cube tray and put it through the machine to instantly turn it into soft serve ice cream. This is a huge hit with all of my college-aged peers as well. It cleans easily, just be sure to scoop out the little bit of ice cream left in the machine once you’re done putting frozen cubes down the chute.

My favorite recipe is banana, vanilla yogurt, sweet dark cherries, and a little bit of chocolate hazelnut spread like Nutella. Yum!!!! If you're watching your waistline, this can be an excellent way to still have those cold soft serves but full of fruit instead of fat and added sugar. They say the added fiber of fresh fruits tends to offset sugars because it takes more calories to try to digest fibrous foods. Yeah!!!! What you can create with this little machine is only limited by your imagination and the fact that just about everything needs to be frozen first. The good part is that you can buy frozen fruit in your grocer's freezer isle, so its not like you have to work to have frozen fruit. LOL A great little machine!!

    This liittle machine is easy to use, doesn't take up much room and is super easy to clean. It turns your fruit into a sherbet in the matter of 2 minutes. It is really amazing. I'm on a plant based diet with no processed foods and this little machine satisfies my urge for ice creamy type things. The things that are different from the store bought is that the sherbet comes out in thin strips and as others have mentioned much is left inside the machine. But with that said there is no waste you just have to get a spoon and get in the area of the machine where it did not get forced out into the cup and that is very simple to do. I don't mind at all, again no waste at all of your fruit. I have never tried banana because I use them in other foods for sweeteners but I do mix together apple, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, mandarin's, melons, cauliflower (yes cauliflower), mango. Yes many fruits. Sooooo if you do not want to buy processed sherbets this little machine is perfect for you. Also, I just do single serving whenever I want it.
