Super easy to travel with; the vacuum pump is small enough to toss in a backpack for travel. I will be purchasing larger bags to use for bedding/winter clothing. Well worth the money. I like to crochet hats all year and then donate them when the weather turns cold. Unfortunately, it's hard to store a couple of hundred hats for the better part of a year. I have tried space saver bags before, but I don't have a traditional vacuum and those hand pumps just don't work. I chose this set because I came with an electric vacuum device. It was super easy to use and it was surprisingly quiet. I was able to store 40 hats in a single bag in almost half the space. It also keeps out bugs, dust, and moisture.

Bought these so I could use the smaller luggage and still pack what I needed on a longer trip. They definitely accommodate that purpose. I was able to pack for a 9 day trip with 4 sweaters and still get my suitcase closed. A couple of issues though. Once you take the air out, it's solid as a brick and heavy. There's no ability to maneuver it in your suitcase. And when I say heavy....wow. Medium size luggage that weighed 35 pounds. I'm glad I checked it because I wouldn't have been able to get it in the overhead. When we returned, I ended up NOT using them and packing my clothes like you do for backpacking and had even more room but with more maneuverability. They do what they say they do perfectly, hence the 5 stars but it didn't really work well for what I needed in the end.

We recently used this for a trip to the Caribbean and it really helped to save space and to keep all of our clothes organized! It also really worked well for dirty clothes since we could just keep two bags in the closet at a time and put the dirty clothes in then. This meant we could pack more clothes into the bags once dirty since we weren't concerned about keeping them folded. We had a half bag extra capacity on the way home!Only concern was that one of the large bags came with a hole likely due to how it is folded. It did not hold the vacuum pressure, but worked to get the suitcases packed before it released pressure. I will be reaching out to the company about this.

I use it to seal my Space Saver bags as well. I prefer the medium sized and small sized bags. They fit in my closet storage boxes perfectly. Worked great on compressing my faux fur blanket in my jumbo-sized Spacer Saver bag, but I'll be buying more VMSTR bags in the future.
