Our dogs love this and so do we. I like that it automatically shuts off when not being used. The dogs figured out how to use it pretty quickly. I do recommend if you have a dog that loves water play to move it around or else the grass starts to get flooded and tears up easily. We have a rottweiler and a saint bernard so this thing is pretty sturdy between the two of them.

Trigger mechanism to start the water works well and is easy to adjust the water height either from the adjustment screw or the splitter where the hose connects. Well, this is amazing. My dog Lou loves the water, especially from a garden hose. This was the perfect activity to keep her busy. She cracked the code pretty fast and figured out how to hold down the peddle to get a constant stream of water but it didn’t lose its magic. She loves it. Highly recommend. If your dog is timid of it at first, put treats down on it or throw a toy on top and have them go pick it up. This was a great purchase.

This is a great idea for fresh water but I’m still trying to train my dogs to press on the foot paddle to get their own water. They watch while I fill their bowl which sits next to it but so far haven’t caught on. Maybe I need smarter dogs! I did try blocking off the area around it as the directions explain to get them used to it. Well even if they don’t get how to do it themselves it’s much easier to keep fresh water available for them.

I work at a shelter and we have a dog who loves water so I figured I'd try this. It took about 15 minutes for him to figure it out but now he loves it. We have to turn off the water to it for him to come in else he won't keep playing with it, which might be an issue if you just keep it on all the time. I liked that all the parts were metal so it should have a long life. I'm hoping that the short hose to it doesn't get destroyed since that is the only part I'm not sure how to replace if I'd have to.
