We LOVE this! Never another water bowl to flip over and refill for the umpteenth time. Never have to worry that he's drinking enough. We purchased this when our GSD was 5 months old and he learned quickly. We did have to lower the pressure a bit. The one drawback is that it IS made out of metal and the bottom will rust if it sits in water/mud. We ended up placing it on a cement pad and the water drains off. Voilà!

He’s a bit of a wingnut - and incredibly intelligent - I pushed the pedal with a stick, he caught the water, causing him to land on the pedal - he had function figured out inside 60 seconds. Had to put this out of sight, or he barks at it when the water is off. He would play with it 24/7 if he could.

For now, he goes over and stares at it until I remind him to put his paw on it, which is mostly my fault because I don’t keep the water on continuously so he knows it doesn’t always work. Easy to drink, great if you have a dog that gets his water bowl full of dirt like it’s an art form. I would recommend getting your own 3-way hose adapter if you need access to your hose while keeping this plugged in - this does come with one, but it’s very cheaply made (plastic) and leaks a fair bit. The fountain itself is well-made but you can tell the adapter is just a freebie.

We love it, it burns off a lot of Puppy Energy and cleans her teeth. One word of caution, we recommend supervision. Our Puppy drinks a lot of water while biting the water stream. We do not use it in the evening because we do not want her to have a full bladder before going to bed. We limit the time we let her play with it but we use it many times during the day.
