    This is a great harness for a stubborn dog...lol. I really don’t like the idea of leading my dog by their neck so a harness is way better. This harness is great as it leads from the front rather than their back so I would think it would make it a bit more awkward to pull. It also pulls their shoulders together a bit when they pull on the harness so as to make them slow down. I’m not too sure if this method works long term as my dog still pulls at will when she sees something worth going for. However, I do believe overall, that compared to an average harness she is inclined to pull less on an average walk as well as if I lead by her collar.

    walking a dog or the dog walking you. i bought this after searching for something that can control my dog. we love her a lot but it is no fun taking her for a walk. this works really well. i am serious. it guides her to where you want her to go. other harnesses attach to the top of the neck no good at all. this gives the dog control. with this harness, it attaches to the front of the chest, walk on either the right or left of dog and keep dog close to your side. read all directions. it does work. she still will pull and get crazy sometimes when she sees another dog but she is more controllable. my dog is a 40 lb American pit bull terrier and this controls her so much better. she is a sweet loving dog. i recommend this harness over all others. does not choke dog.

I used a regular harness, a leash attached to my waist, a choke collar, a bungee-type leash and a few other things. I must have spent over $100 on all the other method (and doctors visits as I hurt my wrist after one pulling episode). The shelter where my pup came from told me about this harness and I purchased it. It was actually amazing. Once I put this one him it was like magic! No more pulling! The harness uses a martingale-type method across the chest. The leash is attached to the front across the chest, so when they pull, it constricts them and they stop.     I have ordered this harness 3 times because I like it so much! The front latch really helps me gain back control when my puppy starts to walk ahead of me. There was a little chafing under her arm pits the first couple of weeks that I used it, but I just kept an eye on it and applied Neosporin. I compared it to breaking in new shoes.. it was unfortunate, but she no longer chafes and I can actually walk her without feeling overwhelmed by her pulling. I’ve had to purchase 3 times because she has chewed through it when I have accidentally forgotten to take it off for the day while she’s home alone. It is definitely not chew proof! With that being said, I think that my dog could chew through any harness if I kept it on her long enough. I will definitely buy this again if I need to.

I have a dog who pulls like crazy and is difficult to control on a walk. This harness does the trick with gentle correction. I can walk my dog without being yanked down the street. She walks without tension at a relaxed pace. Back harnesses turned her into a sled dog and made training near impossible. Fitting is easy, make sure it's snug enough without chafing the underarms. It won't work if it's too loose. I like the two toned color scheme, I know exactly how to put it on without fumbling around. Great if you are training or if you are a very tiny person with a very large dog. The only reason I ever replaced my first one was because my dog chewed up part of the strap, lesson learned. He saw a bunny and he could not pull me down, he is a German Shepard/ Australian Shepard, so he has strength. But with his size he was only a Medium. I had expected to purchase a large for him, but the medium was his size. So I will be purchasing a smaller size for my girl. She does have an odd shaped chest though, which is why I had attempted a larger size for her in the beginning because all standard harnesses don't fit her chest at all. If you have a dog that pulls this product is great I recommend it.

I am very pleased though with the function of the product and would definitely purchase it again, it made walking my dog MUCH more pleasant, and unless a squirrel runs in front of us, she doesn't pull at all while using it. I had previously used a halti head collar, but she still pulled with it and I got tired of telling people she wasn't wearing a muzzle, so this walking harness was a perfect solution.     We have Australian Shepherds that used to pull a lot without these harnesses on, and they are STRONG. These fixed our problems immediately and made our walks enjoyable and easy! We also aren't worried about them getting out of these harnesses either, which is great for our peace of mind (especially compared to their collars, which they would often try to slip out of when leashed directly to them because they didn't like us resisting their pulling). The first of these harness we bought lasted three years with frequent use before it was a bit frayed and we felt like we should probably replace it. We have three dogs now, so we bought three new harnesses! We love them -- they look great, our dogs love them, and they're really easy and quick to put on (no hassle at all). As soon as I pick up the harness, the dogs that have used them get excited to put their head through the loop because they know it means we're going somewhere fun! These harnesses are simple to use and really effective, and I'd recommend them to anyone.
