Bought this thinking I'd teach my dog to ring the bell when he wanted to go out. Then got to thinking I don't want my dog telling me what to do. So turned it into a recall tool. I Would ring it every time I was taking him out to go toilet. Then as he has gotten older, I ring it when I want him to come back in from the fenced back yard. Works like a charm. Association for him is bell = cookie when I come to the door.

At first we tried with the other traditional bell like they have in front offices, but that was a total fail. Then on the 2nd day of trying with this little guy, my cat started digging the bell. When I'm not even near the bell, I can her her digging it. If you want to train your cat to ring a bell, I highly recommend this product.

I trained my cat to tap the bell for treats. It took less than a day. I have to hide it or else he rings it all the time for a treat 😄

The size of the product is great. I can place it in plain sight without it being noticeable because of its size. It appears to be made well. My Yorkie is a wild little boy and he's played with it several times and it's still in one piece. Training with this has been very helpful.

Used this to train my cat to ring for entry! He's a smart one and got it in a day. That said, his little paws have too light of a touch and I switched to a digital option, but this bell got him trained and probably would have worked well on a bigger furball. (My cat is 8.5 pounds and a little frail.) Still a great purchase!

We have these set up at the baby gate and the back door. We have taught our Boston terrier to step on it when he wants to go outside. It works great.
