I purchased 2 of these little drones for a 5 and 7 year old hoping that the auto level feature would be easy enough for them to handle. They have tried flying some of other drones and couldn’t keep them in the air. I was more than pleased these! Even the 5 year old caught on within minutes and was flying around the house non stop for the next few days. They both fly them almost every day 3 weeks later. They are well build and can handle normal crashes. We did have an episode where my 5 year old forced the battery connection backwards and fried the board, but co-signer service was good enough to send a replacement immediately! They were great to deal with. Buy this drone with confidence and know that holystone takes care of their costumers!

    This drone has turned out to be much better than I expected. The packaging and unboxing experience was nice. It comes with 3 batteries, which increases the flight time a lot. The 2 chargers allow you to get back in the air faster, and have a red light to show they are done charging. The styling is great and has different colors to choose from. Everything about this drone is easy to use, basically plug and play. Even my super non tech savvy mom could fly this! Overall, 10/10 great gift and great fun! (Side note: I have a red version, it may be an older version but this blue one flies a little better.). You can't go wrong with either. Holy Stone also has great customer service - very responsive and helpful! I had an issue with a sticky joystick on a remote. I contacted customer service and Holy Stone replaced the product within a few days.

    I bought two of these -- one for myself and one for my 5-year old son, and we could not be happier! It's easy enough to fly that my 5-year old can pair/unpair/recalibrate the radio, fly in basic directions, and do flips and it has enough speed and precision of control that I can have fun with it too. Each battery lasts about 10 minutes, depending on the governor setting used, and it's light enough that I don't have to worry [too much] about my son destroying my big screen TV while flying in the house. The three batteries that they came with are fairly quick charging, with the included double-charger, that they last just about long enough for uninterrupted play. It is a bit too light to fly outdoors with great control, but that's to be expected from such a small drone. Out of all of the mini drones that I own (about 15 or so), these are definitely the best!

    Bought 2 of these for my 8 and 5 year old grandsons. I had very little hope, based on my past experiences with 5 drones, that these would survive Christmas day. However, these are incredibly easy to fly. Seriously, no skill required at all; even the 5 year old was flying it well in 2 minutes. Turn it on, push one button and it rises about 5 feet and stays there. Push the joystick and it moves in that direction, BUT HERE'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS AND OTHER DRONES - Let go of the joystick and it STOPS moving! It just stays there and hovers. You know how other drones would be heading for a lamp or tree and in order to stop it you have to give it counter joystick? And if you got confused as to which direction it was pointing it would dart off into the wrong direction? And hit a rock or a tree and break the propeller blade or the motor or if you were lucky it would just get stuck in a tree and you could go get a ladder and maybe knock it down with a broom and hope you didn't break it doing that? Well, with this drone those days are over.

With the 3 different rates (speeds) you can actually start slow while learning to fly. Once comfortable with your piloting skills, time to move to next rate. In the event the next rate is to aggressive, just move back to previous rate while in flight. This model also offers auto start, take off, and landing. All of these functions are achieved by only the push of a button. One of the other impressive things abt the HS210 is that they, (Holy Stone) has finally figured out the correct orientation to the LEDS! Meaning the RED led is on the back and the GREEN is facing forward. This feature alone is a major improvement to many other competitors. In summary this lil drone is a must have in your fleet. Not only will it allow you to improve upon your skills but is also great to own when a friend comes over wanting to learn!!! At this time I am researching to see if this can be bound to a multi protocol transmitter. Update once answer is validated!!!
