When I received the package, it was vacuum packed and expanded quite quickly. I read the directions, which explained that you should fluff the stuffing by pulling it apart or put in the dryer. I actually was able to do a good enough job just by pulling the stuffing inserts apart on my own. I'm not exactly sure what other reviewers mean when they say the middle has no support or enough filling. As you can see in the picture, this bed has plenty of filling in the middle.

It’s very durable, as our puppy loves to chew on it, but has held up fantastically. I’m even glad we got the biggest size because I can actually snuggle with her in this bed!!! This is the most comfortable dog bed ever. Sometimes, after sitting on my floor to stretch or do yoga, I put my head on this thing and wish I was my dog. Look at how comfortable he looks. He also has this weird habit (from being ignored by his previous owners, I think) of putting his toys in his bed and then flinging the bed around by his teeth, going to collect his toys, and repeating the process. He has ripped several beds doing this strange self-play thing, but this bed has held up for months! Mostly though, he curls up or stretches out in it, and looks like the most peaceful pup on the planet. For reference, he's 18lbs but long and skinny. Also, the color means I see none of his light dog hair all over it - bonus!
