Came exactly as pictured! Super cute, sturdy & soft! My daughters nickname is Bear so when I seen this chair I put it in my wish list because she's still quite young, only 9 months old, at the time she was 6 months old when I came across it! It's soft because it's basically foam blocks with a cover (think egg crate style padding without the bumps) so it isn't the most solid piece of furniture, but it's more than solid enough to hold a toddler comfortably and it's safe for my daughter. My daughter loves this chair! She kisses the bear every day and she hides behind it and plays hide and seek. It's foam, she is able to bend it if she comes from behind and lays on It. It is not sturdy and not safe if not used exclusively for sitting on it (or playing hide and seek behind it). Once my daughter tried to stand on it, she was kneeling on the chair facing the back (the bear's face) and her hands holding the bear ears and when she tried to support herself to be able to stand by shifting her weight forward, she fell on top of it; she didn't harm herself and she is pretty good at understanding what she is able to do and feels safe or not, so she never did it again. There is other chairs more sturdy with wood frames, those are more stable and safer if a toddler is going to stand on it or use it as a stool to reach high. This is a great chair and should be used as such. You know your kid so be aware of this minimal flaw.
