The pieces are too small for a child who might stick things in their mouth’s, but they’re perfect for his age. They’re small enough that he hast to work a little bit hard to get them into the holes, and to grab them well to rotate them but not so small as to make him too frustrated with it. When his hands get tired he can use the drill, or the screwdriver. The pieces are colorful and fairly durable with the handy storage case that also acts as a board for drilling and creating patterns.
