Well it wasn’t on her 10 mins and she almost strangled herself by getting entangled in some cords to our fish tank.     My cat had a wound on his head he kept grooming so it wouldn’t heal. The traditional cone freaked him out so I needed something less confining. With this he could still reach his wound but it took a lot of effort so it was not as often as without it enabling him to heal. He could still eat and drink with no problems. The main issue I had was the longer he wore it the looser the drawstring got, he managed to get it off more often after that. It worked long enough for his wound to heal. On the plus side he looked really cute and he used it as a pillow. I will purchase this again if I need too.

He can eat and drink normally, and won’t admit it but seems to like the fact he has a pillow to sleep on anywhere. We have a covered cat box that’s a little tough to get into with how wide the pillow is, so we take it off regularly. The horrible plastic "collar of shame" the vet sent him home with amounted to cruel and unusual punishment adding to his already restricted life (no time outside for 10 days!) She didn't mind it at all. She kind of used it as a pillow and slept on it a lot. It was comfy for her to sleep on and it didn't choke her. It was small enough that it didn't impede with her walking or using the litter box. She was able to eat and drink water no problems. The collar is adjustable as well which is good for fatter cats or skinny cats. I highly recommend this product for anyone needed an e collar and don't want to use a cone. Will definitely use again in the future.

While she doesn’t LOVE wearing the toast, she accepts it and does not get depressed. Eating is much easier with these and she’s able to get reasonably comfortable for her naps. She knew right away to use it as a pillow (it’s very soft and squishy). I will say it’s not *quite* as effective as a real ecollar but it’s effective enough. if she was really determined to scratch her face she could, but it takes A LOT more effort and the extra effort seems to be enough of a deterrent to keep her from scratching.

    My cat gets really anxious and uncomfortable when he has to wear a cone, so I figured I’d try a softer alternative. He hasn’t attempted to lick/bite the wound on his paw at all, so it’s healing nicely. I was relieved to see that he appears comfortable and even falls asleep by using this “toast collar” as a pillow. Some animals may still be able to reach their wounds depending on the location, but my cat has not been able to do so.
