Easy to install, we purchased a 3/4” x 12” pine board that we painted white. I used 2.5” screws, screwing the pine board directly into the studs to hang the board. All 5 bicycle hooks were screwed 16” on center into studs. I didn’t use the wall anchors. I wouldn’t use the anchors to affix the bike hooks into dry wall. The bicycles are heavy and I wouldn’t trust wall anchors in dry wall. This set up is VERY sturdy and saves a ton of space.

The hooks lock into place where you want them and will not slide as you move the bikes off and on. Installation wasn't bad, just find a stud and make sure you have a drill bit long enough to drill good pilot holes for the screws. You don't have to use the little wheel rests, but they're nice to have if you want to protect your wall or keep your bike at a specific angle.
