I bought it for drilling straight holes in 4x4s and 6x6s for deck posts and it work flawlessly. there might be a slight wobble to it, but I'm not using it to perform surgery. 6x6s are tricky because you have to come in from each side, but the holes lined up well, and I didn't have much trouble getting bolts thru at all.

Be use to hold the handle with one hand while pushing the drill with the other. It worked well for 45 degree angles as well, but don't expect to move quickly. The set up is not meant for an impact drill.

    For the money, I didn't expect a drill press, and it didn't disappoint for my purpose. I used it to drill for long screws and dowel pins, and they consistently made vertical holes. I especially liked the slotted bottom allowing it to center the hole by butting the slot on the edge faces without having to use a ruler. I didn't use the stopper on the guide, since I have my own stopper on the drill.
