The topping deco are supper cut and they stays in place once you put them in but first it was concern about the size of each cake topping it could definitely cause choking hazard. It come with plastic knife and you can cut the cake since they are attached to each other with small thing Velcro it make some cutting noise which is really cool like you actually cutting the cake!! And my daughter also learn how to put it together. I use it to teach her numbers colors, and shapes.
