I was biking when a car made an illegal U-turn on a residential street and hit my bike, which turned the handlebar into my clavicle, fracturing it (got surgery to put a metal plate in). I recall flying off the bike and hearing a loud thwack as my head hit the street. Without the helmet, I would have been very screwed. I can barely tell the damage from the crash (not sure if any damage is from the crash or just regular wear-and-tear), but since I won't wear a helmet that I was wearing in an accident and that hit the ground loudly, I am replacing it. I'm probably going to buy this same helmet again as soon as the driver's auto insurance company says that they'll cover the cost of a new helmet. In terms of fit, it fit very well, and I had no other problems with it.

Riding down a hill, that he isn’t supposed to ride on, he lost control at ~30 mph and landed on the side of his head, on the asphalt. He was knocked out momentarily, but passed the concussion screening at the ER. He is fine, other than some road rash. I hate to think how he might have fared with his old helmet, or no helmet. The ER doctor said that the spot he hit was about the worst place to hit for head injuries.

When I first came to US, I don't understand why everybody is wearing a helmet when riding their bikes. Now I know. I was riding downhill and was really close to a car in front of me. I thought it will just drive straight away, so I didn't slow down. But I was wrong. It stopped suddenly and tried to pull over. My bike hit the back of the car and broke. My head hit the back window. All I remembered was the scatter of glass flew all over me. Everybody on the street came and asked me if I am ok. Surprisingly, I wasn't injured at all. Now I feel a little bit of pain on my shoulder but I don't think it is a big deal. I couldn't imagine what could happen if I was not wearing a helmet.

We tried a handful on at the different stores and discovered he needed a big helmet for the roundness of his head. He fits on the smaller setting and his head measure 51.5 cm. I really like the click adjustment to fit snuggly around his head. I can see him wearing this for a few years. I looked at another brand but the helmet was not as quality as this brand. I have long hair & wear a ponytail for outdoor activities. I am able to pull the ponytail through one of the vents so that it is not bulging & hot inside the helmet- a major plus! Both the straps inside and at the chin are adjustable. And it met the riding test too- I've done a couple of long (about 2 hour) rides and I'm actually happy to wear the helmet. Now, just hoping I never have to actually experience whether its safety features work.

This is a super nice helmet especially for the price. Very comfy and super lightweight. The strap doesnt interfere with my big beard either. helmet stays in place without having to be super tight on your head. So comfy I forget that im wearing it. One issue is the bugs where i live, horseflies and deerflies are super thick this year and they will fly right into the ventilation holes and bite my bald head while im trying to beat them off. If the vent holes had light screen in them it would be a major improvement, but I ride down dirt roads deep in the woods so its only a problem if you ride in my conditions.
