My goal is to get rid of another wire and gadget off my counter. After reviewing the very informative product video on the Amazon product site; I was a bit torn between locating on my kitchen counter or my bedroom nightstand; the two places that I normally charge my phone. My kitchen counter is inch and quarter thick granite. Would it work through this? Sure Did! Then - my bedroom nightstand is wood but has a separate glass top on it. Would it work through this? It seemed closest to what I wanted: a built-in metal plate and not too bulky. It wasn't 100% clear to me that the case front would extend higher than the glass, so until I got it, I was apprehensive. It does, and seems a good trade-off to not make the case too bulky but to keep the glass off the surface when placed face down. The magnetic plate holds nicely to my car magnetic holder. The back is about perfect height to keep the camera bump off the surface. If I were to design the case, it'd be nearly this exact design (I wouldn't have included the circle to show the apple logo). The case has a reasonable amount of grip to it. I've had a case with a bit more grip, but it wore horribly. Wish there were color options, but I like green, which seems to be hard to find even when options are available.

The hole for the lightning port is plenty big and will fit just about any charging cable. The case works well with my magnet mount in the car and wireless charging works too. I see some reviews of the surface being slippery. It has a hard satin finish. Not rubbery at all. It’s not super grippy, but it does offer better grip than a naked iPhone. I personally don’t like super grippy cases because they are harder to get in and out of pants pockets. The only thing that’s missing is more color options.

But you’ll be able to tell that because the light will be blinking to tell you that it’s centered correctly. It just charge a little slower than the lightning cable that I have plugged into my charger in tower. But this allows me to charge my iPad with the charging tower and my iPhone with this pad. Absolutely love this case...I haven't found another case that provides the ability to mount to a magnetic mount as well as Qi Charging capability. Not as grippy as some magnetic mounts I've used, but I've not so much that I've ever had troubles with it staying on the mount. The fact that the metal plate in the case is at the top actually is a bonus for me as my phone no longer blocks the air vent in my truck. Highly recommended.
