Every single time you flush your toilet, the water and waste in the bowl have got to make it through and over the curve of an S-shaped drainage. You've tried all the tricks at loosening or coaxing the blockage to free itself and the tools you've used like plungers and the like only generally reach the first part of the S-bend. An auger (or toilet snake) can do the trick but that's a VERY messy (disgusting) job. Your mission is to free the obstruction and you can do that either by pulling it back out or pushing it forward and on its way. That's where this device comes into play and, in my experience, really does the job. It produces a short burst of air that blows the obstruction forward and onward, out of the S-bend and out of your life. In many cases, you will need more than one burst to free the obstruction but each burst moves the obstruction along the path until sweet liberation. The best things about this product are: no handling excrement (snakes, augers, plungers all involve that), and nasty chemicals (a lot of the funky things you can put in a toilet bowl that break up human waste does all kinds of other things to your body on prolonged exposure), and most importantly it functions based on how your toilet is designed rather than trying to operate against it. You are just giving that latest delivery the final mile push it needs to be on its way. Not only did this clear my obstruction but our toilets have never run more smoothly and resolutely. There is something strangely satisfying about a totally complete and confident flush of a toilet where you know your pipes are totally obstruction free and everything is operating properly. The sink in my bathroom was not clogged, but the water pooled in the sink and drained slowly. This came on suddenly, so I used a chemical drain cleaner to clear the drain. The chemical drain cleaner did not make a difference, and I did not want to keep using the harsh chemical for an indefinite amount of time. I saw this in Amazon, and tried it. It took a few "blasts" and cleared the drain. Be sure to follow the instructions and have water in the sink OVER the rubber nozzle at the end of the air gun. Practice makes perfect - I got the hang of it and the drain cleared after a few continuous blasts of air. This is an awesome product. I especially liked not having to use chemicals.

Worked well on a stopped up bathroom sink. Had to use a few times, but worked much better than Draino. Word of warning though: all the gunk that was clogging it up shot through the overfill drain and all over the wall, so put a towel over that.

It’s very easy to use. Doesn’t come with instructions just tells you how to use it. Has different sizes for different jobs. Works perfectly with unclogging toilets, tubs, and sinks. It takes a few tries to be complete unclogged but it beats having to plunge your toilet constantly. I thought it wouldn’t work because it’s made of a tough plastic material but it definitely proved me wrong after my kids flushed something down the toilet that wasn’t supposed to flush. Very great product.

As another reviewer put it, I was quite skeptical but decided to give it a try. Our toilet had been blocked up for several weeks from using dried up flushable wipes. Our best plunger that had never before failed us was not successful in clearing it. Even when I received the package and pumped it up and the tiny poof of air came out we laughed thinking there is no way it was going to work and were prepared to call the plumber the next day. Well guess what? It worked!! I was actually surprised, but I guess what seemed like a tiny poof of air under water was pretty mighty!

Had a basement drain clogged after a valve broke off a bathroom sink. My mother had one of these about 20 yrs ago and it worked great. Thought I would take the chance and spend the $22 before paying a plumber a few hundred. Money well spent, plumber not needed.

I’m a landlord and clearing pipes is fun. I get perfume bottles. Hair snake 3 feet long . Toys. Cheap jewelry and anything else the tenants know about but deny flushing. Oooh..the baby musta done it. Today we had a slow draining shower. A finger into the drain and yeah...mom is dumping cooking oil into the bath tub. 12 pumps and the right fitting...the oil came up thru the overflow, the drains runs and the tenant lies about dumping the oil. Paid for itself the first time I used it

Our bath double sink was stopped up, somewhere below the double traps. The usually reliable Drano didn't touch it, so rather than spend hundreds on a plumber I took a flyer on this. I had my wife hold the stopper in the second sink while I pumped up the air plunger and pulled the trigger in the other drain. After 4 tries, whatever was blocking the pipe was gone, most of pushed down the drain, a little of it all over me. This was the rare case where I should have read the directions. There's a plastic sheet that you are supposed to put down first before putting the plunger in the drain. Had I done that, I would't have had some really disgusting stuff all over my shirt. All I can say is that it took about 5 minutes to unclog the sink drain that had resisted everything else that I tried. It worked!
