I've cut strawberries, citrus fruits, pineapple, apples, cucumbers, bananas, nectarines... all with no problem. I love the rotating dial that let's you select the thickness. It makes all my slices uniform and straight cuts. Very much like using a mandolin, only much easier and safer. Very easy to clean. I like that the handle locks down for storage. This was definitely worth the money. The only thing I don't like about it is the shape of the pusher cup. It's slightly annoying sometimes, but I'm still glad I bought it!

It is sturdy enough with the suction cups that it stays on the counter or cutting board without needing to be held down while in use. Another necessary feature for hand-challenged folks. The chopping settings are fine for what I make and even I can turn the dials to set the thickness.

And most importantly, it's really safe because you never have to touch the blades when you clean it and neither when you want to change to a different mode during processing. Maybe it's a little bit tricky to clean, but if you wash it right after use, it's very easy. Just place the pieces in a bowl with soap and water for awhile, then rinse it with hot water. Also, it's very stable on the counter top during use. I can't wait to see an electric model in the future and I wish I had found it long ago!
