We did buy more propellers and a guard as well, which I think is a must. The dog is not too happy we have thse now, but that is fun too.

I will admit that my coordination is not what it used to be and knew it might take a bit longer to learn to fly my drone with any degree of proficiency but I gave it a go and have been having a ton of fun. I quickly learned that extra propellers and the little guards to put on the bottom were a necessity for me to have. My first flight I did a lot of bouncing off the ceiling but got better every flight.With the addition of the blade guard bumper I quit breaking propellers so with a simple addition this is proving to be a sturdy little toy. So if you buy one for a grandchild get one for yourself too. I have flown this outdoors, through some tree branches and had a lot of fun. It is very light and the wind or a breeze will blow it around. Indoors in a large room this is really a ton of fun.

So I bought this little drone to learn to fly a drone. Its tiny, its battery last about 5 minutes, and its unreliable amounts of fun. Some things I've learned… Fly it indoors a lot. It's so light flying outside is hard due to even a slight breeze pushing it all over. If you need to swap blades, watch a tutorial on youtube. It's tougher than it looks I've bounced it off lots of things, and it still is working fine. I feel it's done a lot of work for teaching me about flying.

I definitely recommend buying the guard that is sold separately, otherwise you will break all your props quickly. It is great that it charges in about 15 minutes so you can get back to flying. Flight time is around 5 minutes I think, though I haven't timed it. The flip mode is awesome but requires a lot of throttle coming out of the flip to keep from hitting the ground. My training excercise was to take off from a table or box, hover, then land back on the box. Another thing that helped me learn was flying a few inches above the floor and steering around the furniture.
