They're lightweight and they fall over easily enough the little ones don't get frustrated at missing. The balls are a little hard to hold as the finger holes are pretty shallow. But they held them with both hands so it was ok. I wouldn't recommend for kids over 8-9 as they're probably too little kid for those ages. But the younger ones really had fun. A very cute set
