After a few days of cleaning the sponges i see my fish and they survived bringing them in for the winter. Cleaning the sponges is much easier than buying cartridges and a lot cheaper. After searching this showed up and I thought I'd give it a try. Took about 3-4 days to entirely clear the tank. I'm so happy. We even added a couple new fish. This unit is probably a bit too large for this small tank but we may upgrade soon anyways. I can't recommend this enough. I have since put it on a smart plug and only run it about 5 hours a day, during the night. That helped with the excess sound.
