I am a “prepper”, so I like that these only use the power of the sun, unlike my candles that will eventually run out of wick. I am ordering four more, so that we will have plenty of light in case of emergencies, or end of the world. Haha. The nipple has a tight closure so no air tried to rush out after inflating it. To deflate the lantern, you do have to pinch the nipple together and then press. The three levels of light were excellent. This lantern's first use was illuminating a drink tent at our 4th of July celebration with friends. It worked well. I particularly like the plastic handle that snaps together making hanging it much easier
